What I'm focused on

Last updated: June 2026 · Copenhagen, Denmark

Current role

I'm the software architect at Clever — Denmark's largest EV charging network. Most of my time goes to integration architecture and cloud infrastructure: keeping a system several teams depend on coherent as it grows, and deciding what it should become next. On the side, a little e-commerce client work keeps me close to the commerce world.

Learning

Going deeper on event-driven design and the failure modes that only show up at scale — idempotency, exactly-once illusions, and what 'eventual' really costs. And, like everyone, working out where AI genuinely helps in an engineering workflow versus where it just feels productive.

Technologies

What I'm actually reaching for at the moment:

  • .NET and C# — still home base
  • Azure Container Apps and Service Bus for most new services
  • PostgreSQL by default for new projects
  • Experimenting with AI tooling inside the dev loop, cautiously

Books

On the pile right now:

  • The Pragmatic Programmer — a re-read; it rewards you differently at each career stage
  • A stack of essays on the economics of independent software consulting
  • A novel I keep meaning to finish and probably won't this month

Experiments

Small things, mostly to feel how a tool behaves before I'd trust it near production — a few throwaway services testing AI-assisted data mapping, and prototyping ideas that may or may not end up inside VelaCommerce.

VelaCommerce

The product I'm building — a commerce platform for the gap between Shopify's simplicity and the weight of enterprise systems. It's the advice I kept giving clients, turned into something I own. Early days, but real ones: shaping the core model and validating it against the problems I've watched mid-market teams hit for years.

Personal projects

This site, slowly and deliberately — the writing section especially. I'd rather publish what I actually learn than what looks good in a portfolio, so it grows at the pace of having something worth saying.

Travel

Staying close to Copenhagen this season — two daughters and a product in its early days don't leave much room for airports. Short trips within Europe when the work calls for being in the room. Nothing far on the horizon, and that's fine for now.

This is a /now page. The idea comes from Derek Sivers — a public, honest note on what you're actually doing right now, rather than what you'd put on a CV. I update it when things change.
